IRVING, Texas – Consilium Staffing, a healthcare staffing company based in Irving, this week announced company membership in the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO). NALTO was established in 2001 to create a shared set of industry standards for staffing agencies and healthcare organizations that work with locum tenens providers.
Locum tenens, a Latin phrase meaning “to hold the place of,” refers to the temporary placement of healthcare providers at understaffed medical facilities. Locum tenens professionals typically cover shifts on a temporary basis for between several days up to a year.
“Joining NALTO is indicative of our commitment to strengthen the industry and provide our clients and healthcare providers with the best possible service,” said Matt Baade, executive vice president of Consilium Staffing. “We look forward to the partnerships that come with NALTO membership and we are eager to exhibit continued leadership in the industry.”
Membership in NALTO requires adherence to specific best practices throughout the locum tenens work cycle, including during contract negotiations with healthcare facilities and providers, payroll processes, and post-assignment concerning non-compete clauses.
Consilium, Your Partner in Locum Tenens, connects contract healthcare professionals with understaffed medical facilities across the country. For more information about Consilium, please visit: http://www.consiliumstaffing.com.
