Consilium Staffing launches their mobile site for the smartphone, a first in the locum tenens industry, allowing easier access to locum tenens opportunities from the palm of your hand at m.consiliumstaffing.com. The new feature provides an enhanced, user-friendly locum tenens process for both their clients and providers.
Consilium Staffing recently added an "Opportunity Search" function on their homepage to bridge the gap between physicians and facilities and soon realized there was a need and a way to offer more. "Providing this mobile service continues to reflect our commitment to serve our clients and candidates," said Amy Crowdis, Vice President of Client Sales.
Accessibility is important, and cell phones have become vital to our everyday lives both professionally and socially. According to a 2011 survey by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, 83% of adults in the United States have a cell phone of some kind, and of that 42% of them own a smartphone. "Our new mobile site is a valuable medium for our clients and providers, and ultimately allows them to be more efficient with their time," said Crowdis.
The locum tenens industry is one of constant change, and allowing clients to access information on the go is critical. The Pew Internet and American Life Project further concluded that 25% of smartphone owners say that they mostly go online using their phone, rather than with a computer. A family practitioner who tested the mobile site said, "I found the new mobile web site easy to find and navigate using my smartphone."
"The development of a mobile site that is compatible with today's smartphones is an important step that further shows our commitment to partnering with healthcare facilities and providers," said, Matt Baade, Vice President. "We will continue to make it easier for healthcare facilities to request locum tenens coverage and for our providers to have access to the most current locum tenens opportunities available."
The term, "locum tenens" is a Latin phrase that means to "hold the place of." Consilium Staffing assists hospitals, primary care offices, urgent care centers, correctional institutions, and other healthcare facilities, when those facilities are under-staffed by partnering with physicians, nurse practitioners, and/or physician assistants who are able to provide coverage on a temporary or contract basis.
