During Mental Health Awareness Month, we combined education, community support, and fundraising to make a meaningful impact for team members and local families.
Building Awareness
The month began with a focus on education and support within our team.
First, we shared crucial mental health resources for team members and their families, fostering a supportive culture where seeking help is seen as a strength, not a weakness.
Later in the month, our own behavioral health experts hosted two insightful lunch-and-learn sessions. Amy Gentile, Consilium Partner and DVP of Behavioral Health, and Mike Danchak, VP of Professional Development, shared their knowledge through “Taming Your Inner Critic: Perfection vs. Excellence.”
Both sessions were packed with engaged team members who walked away with practical tools and best practices. Participants found the sessions transformative, one noting, “The thing about perfectionism is that it sneaks up on you just when you think you have it beat. It’s not an easy path to excellence over perfection, but the topics discussed in class, combined with the tips and tricks provided, make the road a whole lot smoother.”
Passionate Fundraising for Vogel Families
Funds raised during Mental Health Awareness Month will go directly towards helping families struggling with homelessness by supporting Vogel’s therapy services, necessary to assist children and adults process their experienced trauma and stress.
Raffle and Silent Auction
The office transformed into a bustling marketplace as team members participated in our third annual raffle and silent auction. The break room filled with tables of donated goods and services, showcasing the incredible generosity of both team members and the broader community.
The raffle included items such as restaurant gift cards, brewery tours, and jewelry, while hot items in the silent auction included golf passes, wine tasting experiences, golf clubs, and even the EVP’s coveted covered parking spot.
One team member captured the enthusiasm perfectly: “This is one of my favorite fundraisers of the year! Shopping – at work? Who can pass that up?!”
The Consilium Classic Golf Tournament

Kimberley Montgomery, Vogel’s Director of Mental Health, opened our third annual Consilium Classic golf tournament, discussing the organization’s mission and growth in mental health programming. Her presentation served as a powerful reminder of the tournament’s purpose and impact.
Competition was spirited, with 9 teams vying for first and second place trophies, as well as a prize for “closest to the hole.”
One participant explained their motivation: “I got involved because it’s a fun and meaningful way to give back. The tournament brings great people together for a great cause, and it’s something I look forward to every year.”
The Impact
May’s success reflects the deep commitment our team members have to Mental Health Awareness and to supporting their community.

Together, we raised a grand total of $7,310.97 for Vogel’s Behavioral Health program, surpassing last year’s record donation. Funds will support therapy services for some of the most vulnerable members of the community: children and families experiencing homelessness.
Through education, community engagement, and purposeful giving, our Mental Health Awareness Month initiatives created lasting value both within the organization and throughout the broader Dallas community.
