On a Saturday in June, volunteers demonstrated their commitment to ending global hunger by partnering with Feed My Starving Children in Richardson, Texas.
What started as a mission to help children in need turned into a record-setting day as our team won the “fastest packing” contest among all volunteer groups present!
Servant Spirit in Action
Teammates and family members came together like a well-oiled machine, donning hairnets and gloves to scoop, weigh, and pack nutritionally formulated meals for children around the world suffering from severe undernutrition.
Stationed at packing table number one, our volunteers embodied one of the company’s core values—Servant Spirit—as they worked with purpose and dedication.
Impressive Impact in Just Two Hours
During an efficient two-hour session, incredible results were achieved:
- 132 boxes packed
- 28,500 meals prepared
- 78 children will be fed for an entire year
These meals, developed by food science and nutrition professionals, are specifically designed to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition in vulnerable communities worldwide.

Teaching the Next Generation
This event resonated particularly deeply with team members who brought their families along. One participant shared their motivation:
“I wanted to participate in the FMSC volunteer shift because I wanted to do something to give back to others and I wanted to teach my daughter what it means to give back to others.
My mom always got me involved in volunteer work when I was growing up and I think there is a lot to learn as a kid when it comes to being humble and caring for others. I appreciate that Consilium facilitates these types of events because it makes it that much easier for us to contribute and serve others.
We are blessed and it was great to see how even just donating an hour or two of our time can help so many people.”
